A Sci-Fi Short Story by Ian Robert Ross
“A space-borne strike pilot navigates between prescience and paranoia as he turns to artificial means in order to pursue his contractual obligations to his corporation.”
This short story/novelette (32 pages) introduces the character of Callum York and is part of a collection of short stories I’d been working on when I first moved to Ottawa in 2018. I chose to publish it now to help bridge the gap while I work on completing the manuscript for my current epic fantasy novel.
Elements of this story have appeared in other unpublished works and exist as facets of a common universe in which I’ve developed for other fiction concepts, to be set in the near solar system (with most of the others focused on Martian colonization.)
At present, I have only released the e-book version, but have plans to re-release in the future, as part of an anthology. I invite you to check out out this standalone edition of Final Tally.
